The Mirror Horizon

I had a great time letting my imagination run wild while working on a photo shoot for a couple of motorcycle brands, HEDON and Tripmachine. During the shoot, I took advantage of the location's unique textures and explored various angles. As I sifted through a few images, my imagination started to wander. I felt inspired to create a movie poster that would bring the still images to life.

As soon as I returned home, I began curating and editing all the images. I knew exactly what kind of film poster I wanted to create and the tone I wanted the viewer to feel while looking through the imagery. I uploaded the final artwork to ChatGPT with the prompt, "Create a short synopsis from the attached movie poster titled The Mirror Horizon."

Here’s what I chose– In the quiet, futuristic cityscape of Durham, NC, a lone rider journeys through time and reality to uncover the truth about a world where the line between past and present blurs like a mirrored horizon. With fate and memory intertwined, every turn forces a reckoning with what lies beyond the edge. The Mirror Horizon is a gripping exploration of identity, perception, and the choices that define us.

Josiah Myers

Born in Michigan, I grew up surrounded by art, music, and travel. My mother was a contemporary artist, and my dad was a minister and a musician. Every summer, my family traveled to Brownsville, Cuidad Victoria, and Matamoros for mission work. Being one of six kids, I liked being in my own creative space where my imagination met storytelling. Growing up to the sounds of artists like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Led Zeplin, and James Taylor would continue to influence my artistic expression.

When I worked on the yearbook for our high school, my love of photography, layout, and design began. Upon graduating, I studied graphic design at the Art Institute of Charlotte, NC, and the Art Institute in Santa Monica, CA. Over the 10+ years of working in the advertising industry, my passion and eye for photography and the motorcycle culture have grown. Every year, I raise funds and bring awareness to men's mental health and prostate cancer for the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride.

I am based out of Los Angeles, always ready to ride and willing to travel.
